MILAN - Here's part of an exclusive interview given by Nerazzurro striker Alvaro Recoba to Oriental Sports Daily, published in today's edition of the Chinese newspaper.

Which team has always been in your heart?
Inter! In Uruguay, the Italian championship is shown on television and a very great and famous Uruguayan player, Ruben Sosa [now at Shanghai Shenhua SVA in China], used to play for Inter. I have been an Inter fan since then.

Which experiences have helped you to grow as a player?
I have grown both as a man and as a player. I have become stronger and I have learned to appreciate the beauty of working hard during the week to be ready for the match ahead. Another thing that has helped me grow is that I don't get angry when I don't play.

At what point are you in your career?
I'm doing well at the moment, but I can grow and become stronger and more intelligent as a player.

You're known as 'El Chino'. A lot of Chinese fans believe you have Chinese blood. Is it true?
My family is Uruguayan and has been for many generations. I'm very sorry for all my Chinese fans, but I don't have any Chinese blood.
