| Recoba hails greatest Inter
Wednesday 13 October, 2004
Inter’s Alvaro Recoba has labelled the current Nerazzurri squad as the strongest he has ever played in.
"I’ve been at this club for eight years and I have never seen a better group of players," said the Uruguayan.
However, the League table suggests otherwise as the club have won just one League game so far, drawing the other four.
"We are playing well, it is just that the results are not arriving right now," continued the enigma.
Inter are next in action on Sunday when they play host to Luciano Spalletti’s dangerous Udinese side.
"They are a team who always create their opponents difficulties but we must remember that we are Inter," he added.
"It won’t be easy to win but it is a necessity for us as we have already dropped a number of points this term."
So what will be key to victory? "In order to get the three points we must not concede goals like we did at Roma," he warned.
Inter threw away the points in the capital when they squandered a two-goal lead to draw 3-3 against the Giallorossi.
