The pre-season friendly match between the Maltese national team and Inter finished 2-0 in favour of the Nerazzurri.

Hector Cuper's men took the lead on 29 minutes thanks to an own goal by Chanter, who headed Recoba 's corner into his own net. After 'making' the opening goal, the Uruguayan forward scored one himself with a fierce, low shot in the 35th minute to put the Nerazzurri 2-0 up.

Last game against Sporting Lisbon, Recoba also scored one and set up another. He has played very good in the pre-season matches and it is looks to be the season of Alvaro Recoba.
